Switching on and off

The light can be switched on and off using the light switch.

Dimming

The lamp is **not dimmable** as standard. However, since dimmable LEDs are installed, it can be converted to dimmable operation by replacing the transformer. Thanks to the click system, the transformer is easy to replace. You can buy the matching dimmable TRIAC transformer directly from us. After the replacement, the lamp can be dimmed via **trailing-edge phase-cut dimming**. For the conversion, a transformer is needed that has to be swapped out so that the lamp becomes dimmable.

1 Data sheet

AMBRO – Design, dimensions and light quality

AMBRO is a minimalist LED wall light made of aluminium and acrylic in black or white: a round light element on a slim wall plate that rotates 350° and folds open 90°.

This lets you direct the light exactly where you want it: as a soft grazing light on the wall, angled up or down, or as a focused glow on a picture or a reading nook. With its clean lines, the wall lamp in black or white blends discreetly into your living room or bedroom. The warm white light and a colour rendering index of 89 make colours and materials look natural.

You switch AMBRO on and off with your light switch. As delivered, the light is not dimmable. Since dimmable LEDs are installed, you can convert it to smooth TRIAC dimming with the TRIAC transformer, which you can buy separately from Neona. For this, you need a TRIAC-compatible wall dimmer switch installed at home.

The light arrives ready to install, and the LEDs are permanently integrated and already included. For smart home use, the transformer must be swapped for a compatible model.

Light that turns toward you

The AMBRO wall light shows its special feature in the small plate, which can be moved and rotated. This lets you direct the light very precisely – sometimes as a soft grazing light on the wall, sometimes as a directed glow on a picture or a reading nook. With just a few movements, the same light creates a new lighting mood again and again. A well-thought-out detail that gives you individual design possibilities.

Clean design with a playful touch

With its reduced form and movable plate, the AMBRO wall light blends discreetly into modern living spaces. Instead of dominating, it impresses with clean lines and an unobtrusive presence on the wall. The adjustable plate gives it a versatile, lively touch. That makes AMBRO a stylish part of a well-thought-out lighting concept – in the hallway, living room or bedroom.

Natural colors in warm light

With a colour rendering index (CRI) of 89, the AMBRO wall light creates a pleasantly natural light in which colours and materials look true to life. Walls, pictures and furnishings appear vivid and harmonious in its glow. Combined with the movable plate, the light can be directed exactly where it is needed. Ideal for anyone who values good light quality and flexible design.

FAQ

1 Is the AMBRO TRIAC dimmable?

Not from the factory. With the TRIAC transformer, which you can purchase from us, the AMBRO can be converted to TRIAC dimming. This requires a TRIAC-compatible wall dimmer switch to be installed at your place.

2 Is the AMBRO smart home compatible?

No built-in interface. To control it via a smart home system, the transformer has to be swapped for a compatible model.

3 Are the light sources replaceable?

The high-quality LEDs are permanently installed in the lamp. In our experience, however, it is usually the transformers rather than the LEDs themselves that are affected by defects in LED lamps. These can generally be replaced quickly. If you ever have any problems with this, we will of course be happy to help you.

4 Can luminaires with IP20 be used in the bathroom?

Lights with protection rating IP20 may only be used in the bathroom outside the protected zones. This means they are not suitable for direct use in the shower or above the bathtub. In dry areas, for example in the middle of the room or on the ceiling, they can however be used. For added safety, we recommend lights with at least protection rating IP44 in the bathroom.

5 Is there a money-back guarantee?

You have a 30-day right of return with us.

Return policy: In the event of a complaint, we will of course cover the return costs for you and refund the full amount.

As we are a young, self-financed company and already bear the shipping costs to you, unfortunately we cannot also cover the costs of a regular return. If you send your lamp back within 30 days, you will receive the refund amount minus the return shipping costs.

For a stress-free return process, you can simply register your return via our returns portal. There you can keep track of the current status of your return at any time.

6 How many degrees can the small plate be rotated?

The small plate with the light source can be rotated by 350° and tilted open by 90°.
