Installation

The lamp arrives ready to assemble and can be set up right away. The light source is already included in the delivery. You will find all the information you need in the installation guide.

Switching on and off

The light can be switched on and off with the button on the round cable box. Press the button briefly and the light goes on or off.

Dimming

With the button on the cable box you can adjust the brightness from 10 to 100 %. Hold the button down while the light is on until the brightness you want is reached. No wall dimmer is needed.

Pendant light you simply plug in

For the LAYA pendant light you need neither an electrician nor a ceiling outlet. Its cable runs into a flat, round cable box on the wall and from there, with the plug-in power adapter, into any ordinary socket. With the button on the cable box you switch the light on and off, and if you hold it down, you dim it from 10 to 100 %. This way you bring a real hanging light into rooms where none was possible before.

A slim light bar, 30 centimetres long

At just 2.8 centimetres in diameter and 30 centimetres long, the LAYA pendant light stands out as a fine, vertical line in the room. Its pared-back form doesn't weigh anything down or distract, but sets a calm, precise accent. Finished in black, it looks graphic and understated at the same time. That's how it fits in so naturally above the dining table, next to the bed or in the reading nook.

Hang it exactly where you need it

You run the LAYA's cable, up to five metres long, freely through the room via the included cable holders on the ceiling. This lets you decide where the light hangs instead of adapting to the existing connection. Any cable you don't need disappears discreetly into the round cable box on the wall. Whether centred above the table, offset to the side or next to the bed: a pendant light that adapts to your home, not the other way round.

FAQ

1 Do I need an electrician for the LAYA?

No. The LAYA has a plug and is simply plugged into the socket.

2 Is the LAYA dimmable?

Yes. With the button on the cable box you dim the LAYA from 10 to 100 %: hold the button down while the light is on until the brightness you want is reached. A short press switches it on and off.

3 Are the light sources replaceable?

The high-quality LEDs are permanently installed in the lamp. In our experience, however, it is usually the transformers rather than the LEDs themselves that are affected by defects in LED lamps. These can generally be replaced quickly. If you ever have any problems with this, we will of course be happy to help you.

4 Can luminaires with IP20 be used in the bathroom?

Lights with protection rating IP20 may only be used in the bathroom outside the protected zones. This means they are not suitable for direct use in the shower or above the bathtub. In dry areas, for example in the middle of the room or on the ceiling, they can however be used. For added safety, we recommend lights with at least protection rating IP44 in the bathroom.

5 Is there a money-back guarantee?

You have a 30-day right of return with us.

Return policy: In the event of a complaint, we will of course cover the return costs for you and refund the full amount.

As we are a young, self-financed company and already bear the shipping costs to you, unfortunately we cannot also cover the costs of a regular return. If you send your lamp back within 30 days, you will receive the refund amount minus the return shipping costs.

For a stress-free return process, you can simply register your return via our returns portal. There you can keep track of the current status of your return at any time.
